Amigurumi Doll in Tiger Costume

    Hello dear amigurumi followers, we add a new one to the free amigurumi pattern. You can always follow us to reach the newest, most popular, most accurate pattern. Here is Amigurumi doll in tiger costume;

    Materials:

    • Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m)
    • Hook size: 2.5 mm
    • 8 mm safety eyes
    • Black embroidery floss
    • Stitch marker
    • Sewing needle and scissors
    • Button for a snood scarf
    • Fiberfill

    Abbreviations:
    R = row
    mc = magic circle
    ch = chain
    st = stitch
    sl st = slip stitch
    sc = single crochet
    dc = double crochet
    hdc = half double crochet
    inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)
    dec = decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)
    (12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
    ( ) * 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

    Arms (make 2)
    With orange yarn:
    R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
    R 2: (inc) * 6 (12)
    R 3-5: 12 sc (3 rows)
    R 6: dec, 10 sc (11)
    R 7: dec, 9 sc (10)
    R 8: dec, 8 sc (9)
    R 9-12: 9 sc (4 rows)
    Stuff the bottom of the arm with fiberfill.
    Fold top of arm flat and 4 sc through both sides across.

    Cheeks (make 2)
    With pink yarn:
    R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
    F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Legs and body

    First leg
    With white yarn:
    Make 5 ch.
    Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
    R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 3 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 2 sc, inc (10)
    R 2: inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc (16)
    Change to orange yarn:
    R 3: BLO 16 sc
    R 4: 4 sc, 4 dec, 4 sc (12)
    R 5: 4 sc, 2 dec, 4 sc (10)
    R 6: 8 sc only
    Stuff with fiberfill.

    Second leg
    With white yarn:
    Make 5 ch.
    Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
    R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 3 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 2 sc, inc (10)
    R 2: inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc (16)
    Change to orange yarn:
    R 3: BLO 16 sc
    R 4: 4 sc, 4 dec, 4 sc (12)
    R 5: 4 sc, 2 dec, 4 sc (10)
    R 6: 10 sc
    R 7: 2 sc only
    Stuff with fiberfill.
    Don’t cut the yarn.

    From the second leg: 2 ch, join with the first leg
    Continue crocheting the body in the round:
    R 1: (3 sc, inc) * 2, 2 sc on the 1st leg, 1 sc, inc on chains, (3 sc, inc) * 2, 2 sc on the 2nd leg, 1 sc, inc on chains (opposite side) (30)

    Align the stitch marker in the middle of the back.

    Face
    With skin tone yarn:
    Make 8 ch.
    Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
    R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 6 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 5 sc, inc (16)
    R 2: inc, 5 sc, 3 inc, 5 sc, 2 inc (22)
    R 3: 1 sc, inc, (1 sc, inc) * 3, 5 sc, (1 sc, inc) * 2 (28)
    R 4: 2 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) * 3, 5 sc, (2 sc, inc) * 2 (34)

    R 5: 2 hdc, change to hair color yarn (brown): 1 hdc, 2 dc in one st, 7 dc, 2 dc in one st, hdc, change to skin tone yarn: 2 hdc, 18 sc, sl st
    Cut the brown yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
    Cut the skin tone yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

    Insert safety eyes between R 4 and R 5 (count the rows from the hair) at the distance of 4-5 st from each other.

    Embroider the mouth on the face with black floss.
    Sew the cheeks to the face.

    Head
    With orange yarn:
    R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
    R 2: (inc)*6 (12)
    R 3: (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)
    R 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) * 5, 1 sc (24)
    R 5: (3 sc, inc) * 6 (30)

    Insert safety eyes with the face between R 16 and R 17 of the head at the distance of 4-5 st from each other.

    Sew the head to the body.

    Tail
    With orange yarn:

    Stuff the bottom part firmly.
    R 7-9: 8 sc (3 rows)
    Change to brown yarn:
    R 10: dec, 6 sc (7)
    R 11: 7 sc
    Change to orange yarn:
    R 12-14: 7 sc (3 rows)
    Change to brown yarn:
    R 15-16: 7 sc (2 rows)
    Change to orange yarn:
    R 17-25: 7 sc (9 rows)
    Stuff gently with fiberfill.
    Fold top of tail flat and 3 sc through both sides across.
    F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Sew the tail to the back of the body between R 4 and R 5.

    Ears (make 2)
    With orange yarn:
    R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
    R 2: (inc) * 6 (12)
    R 3: (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)
    R 4-6: 18 sc (3 rows)
    F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Sew the ears on the head, starting from R 5.

    Nose
    With brown yarn:
    Make 5 ch.
    Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
    R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 3 sc, 3 sc in last st, 2 sc, inc (10)
    R 2: 10 sc
    F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Sew the nose between R 6 and R 9 of the head.
    Embroider the tiger’s eyes with brown yarn.

    Snood scarf
    Make 5 ch.
    R 1: From the 3rd ch from hook: 3 dc, 2 ch, turn work
    R 2: 3 dc, 2 ch, turn
    Crochet so many rows as you need.

    Embroider three stripes on the both sides of the head with brown yarn:
    1st one – between R 13 and R 14,
    2nd – between R 15 and R 16,
    3rd – between R 17 and R 18.

    Finish Amigurumi doll in tiger costume.
