    Materials:

    • Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m)
    • Hook size: 1.8 mm
    • Black embroidery floss or yarn for eyes and eye brows
    • Tapestry needle
    • Scissors
    • Fiberfill

    Abbreviations:
    R = row
    mc = magic circle
    ch = chain
    st = stitch
    sl st = slip stitch
    sc = single crochet
    inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
    dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
    F.o. = finish off
    (12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
    (…)*6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

    Free amigurumi seagull pattern

    Head and body (one piece)
    With white yarn:
    Make 15 ch. Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
    R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 13 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 12 sc, inc (30)
    R 2: inc, 12 sc, 3 inc, 12 sc, 2 inc (36)
    R 3: 1 sc, inc, 12 sc, (1 sc, inc)*3, 12 sc, (1 sc, inc)*2 (42)
    R 4: inc, 2 sc, 12 sc, (inc, 2 sc)*3, 12 sc, (inc, 2 sc)*2, (48)
    R 5: 3 sc, inc, 12 sc, (3 sc, inc)*3, 12 sc, (3 sc, inc)*2 (54)
    R 6-25: 54 sc (20 rows)

    Wings (make 2)
    With grey yarn:
    R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
    R 2: (inc)*6 (12)
    R 3: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
    R 4: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)
    R 5: (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)
    R 6: (4 sc, inc)*6 (36)
    R 7: (5 sc, inc)*6 (42)
    R 8: (6 sc, inc)*6 (48)
    Don’t stuff.
    Fold wing flat and 24 sc through both sides across.

    Tail
    With grey yarn:
    R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)

    Stuff a little.
    F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Beak
    With orange yarn:
    Make 5 ch.
    Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
    R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 4 sc, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 4 sc (8)
    R 2-6: 8 sc (5 rows)
    R 7: 1 sc, 4 sl st, 3 sc (8)
    R 8-10: 8 sc (3 rows)
    Don’t stuff.
    F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Legs (make 2)
    With orange yarn:
    Make 10 ch.
    Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
    R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 8 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 7 sc, inc (20)
    R 2-4: 20 sc (3 rows)
    Crochet additional 6 sc, place the stitch marker and start crocheting the R 5:
    R 5: 3 sc, dec, 8 sc, dec, 5 sc (18)
    R 6: 3 sc, dec, 7 sc, dec, 4 sc (16)
    R 7: 2 sc, dec, 6 sc, dec, 4 sc (14)
    R 8: 2 sc, dec, 5 sc, dec, 3 sc (12)
    R 9: (2 sc, dec)*3 (9)
    R 10: (1 sc, dec)*3 (6)
    R 11-35: 6 sc (25 rows)
    Change to white yarn:
    R 36: (inc)*6 (12)
    R 37: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
    R 38-39: 18 sc (2 rows)
    Stuff with fiberfill only the white part of the leg.
    F.o. and leave a long tail for sewing.

    Hat
    With red yarn:
    R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
    R 2: (inc)*6 (12)
    R 3: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
    R 4: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)
    R 5: (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)
    R 6: (4 sc, inc)*6 (36)
    R 7: (5 sc, inc)*6 (42)
    R 8-12: 42 sc (5 rows)

    Turn the edges of the hat out.

    Assembly
    Sew the beak to the head between R 32 and R 34.
    Embroider eyes and eye brows using black floss or yarn.
    Sew the wings to the body in R 26.
    Sew the tail to the back of the body between R 8 and R 9.
    Sew the legs to the body between R 2 and R 9.
