Materials:
- Yarn: Alize Softy in two threads (100% polyester, 115 m/50 g) or Himalaya Dolphin Baby
- Hook size: 3.5 mm
- 10-12 mm safety eyes
- Black cotton yarn for embroidering a nose and eye brows, pink yarn for a cat’s nose
- Tapestry needle and scissors
- Fiberfill
Abbreviations:
R = row
mc = magic circle
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
(…)*6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated
Free amigurumi fox and cat pattern
Forelegs, hind legs and body for the fox and for the cat are crocheted in the same way.
Forelegs (make 2)
With white yarn:
Make 5 ch. Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 3 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 2 sc, inc (10)
R 2: inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc (16)
R 3: 16 sc
R 4: 4 sc, 4 dec, 4 sc (12)
R 5: 2 sc, 4 dec, 2 sc (8)
R 6: 8 sc
Change to orange/grey yarn:
R 7: 8 sc
R 8-13: 8 sc (6 rows)
You may need to crochet 1 row less.
Fold top of foreleg flat and 3 sc through both sides across.

Put out white part and orange part of the ear together with inner part (wrong side to wrong side) and through both parts sc around.

Assembly
Make eye tightening (optional).
Sew the ears to the head. Sew the tail and hing legs to the body.
Embroider eye whites using a white yarn.
Embroider a nose and eyebrows using a black yarn.
Finish Amigurumi Fox and Cat.
