Materials
• 2,5 mm crochet hook
• Toy stuffing
• Scissors
• Stitch marker
• Embroidery needle
• Your choice of 4 ply yarn (I used Drops Safran yarn)
Abbreviations
MR– magic ring
Rnd– round
Sc– single crochet
St– stitch
Slst– slip stitch
Inc– increase (two stitches in one)
inv dec– Invisible decrease (make 2 stitches into one-front loops only) (Click the link to see how it’s done)
(…) – Repeat the process in the brackets
Dc– double crochet
Let’s start crocheting the amigurumi heart pattern.
Heart
(Make 2)
Rnd 1. 6 sc into a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2. (inc) x 6 (12)
Rnd 3. (sc, inc) x6 (18)
Rnd 4. (2sc, inc)x6 (24)
Rnd 5-7. (3 rounds) sc all around (24)
Finish off and weave in any left over yarn. Now make the second one but do not cut the yarn. Stuff the heart as you go along.
Rnd 8. join the two parts together with a slst, sc around both parts (48)

Change yarn colour
Rnd 8-9. sc all around (6)

Finish off and weave in any left over yarn
Mr Sweetheart (make 2)

Finish off and leave a tail for attaching to the heart body. Now attach the legs to the back of the heart body. Weave in any left over yarn.
Arms
Note: pattern the same for both MR and Mrs Sweetheart. Do not stuff the arms.

Rnd 1. 5sc into a magic ring (5)
Rnd 2-3. sc all around (5)
Rnd 4. (sc, inv dec)x3 (4)
Finish off and leave a tail for attaching to the heart body. Now attach the arms to both sides of the hearts body approximately 10 rows down from the top.
Let’s crochet the bow tie at the beginning of the Amigurumi heart pattern.
Bow
Rnd 1. 4sc into a magic ring (4)
Rnd 2. ch3, 5dc in same stitch, ch3 slst in same st as the first ch3. 2 slst in next 2 sts, ch3, 5dc in same st, ch3, slst into same st, slst in next 2 sts.
Finish off and leave a long tail for wrapping around the middle of the bow.
Now wrap the long tail around the middle of the bow a few times and finish off. Attach to the body.
